Jeeping in Oman

Down the Dune near Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.

This was great fun in March (Tread Softly as always - this was a planned & guided event).

What a rush when you drop over the top of the dune looking down 300 feet! Be in Low 4wd, keep your foot off the brakes and hold on.

My Jeep

Jeeps. The icon of the 4x4 world. Most 4 wheel drives around the world are called "jeep", but there really is ONLY ONE. The original. Jeep, by Jeep Corporation.

Wranglers are great fun. Not for everyone, but if this picture gets your blood going, while mud flies as the wheels spin on a steep slope coming out of a river, you know what I mean.

I'm Paul, a diehard Jeep fan. I love the spirit of Jeep. "Go Anywhere, Do Anything". It's in my blood. I have traveled around the world driving Jeeps of all kinds, new and old, from the legendary Rubicon Trail above Lake Tahoe in California to the wadi's of Oman, from the mountains and streams of Virginia to Stockholm, from Iceland to Kazakhstan. And a lot of places in-between.

Whether 1 or 2 Jeeps with friends and family or 2,500 Jeeps (and about 10,000 Jeep fans) at Camp Jeep USA, I've driven 'em, played in 'em, got them stuck in mud and been pulled out. I've also driven through deep snow with confidence that my Jeep would get me where I wanted to go.

That's the soul of this brand. Jeep will get you through. Take care of it, and it will deliver. Bang it around, climb rocks and amazing trails, go where most people won't dare, and it will perform.

I also have a Jeep business, supplying Kazakhstan, Central Asia, and others with Jeep products. From the exciting Jeep Rubicon Unlimited, to Jeep Sahara or Sport, Grand Cherokee, and Cherokee, I believe Jeep has something for off-roaders as well as those of us who stay on-road (we still encounter bad weather and need to get through no matter what the conditions).

If you are a Jeep person, I invite you to join and share. I plan to create a Jeep Club in Almaty Kazakhstan in early 2009. Join along.
